Lisa curated the representation of five countries in the second annual Fashioning Power, Fashioning Peace exhibition, which opened with a gala on May 5, 2025, at the President Woodrow Wilson House in Washington, D.C.
The four-day exhibition showcased authentic clothing from 50 nations, each symbolizing power, diplomacy, and cultural heritage. Lisa’s curation highlighted the creative voices of Isabel Lopez (Colombia), Andrea Ortiz (Colombia), Niki Khojandi (Iran), Clara Pinkrah-Sam (Ghana), Robert Lee Morris (United States), and Swinda Reichelt (Germany).
A special highlight was the inclusion of the iconic TIE dress by 9-year-old designer Max Alexander (United States), now part of the WAM! Wearable Art Museum permanent collection.
Her work helped spotlight the richness of global artistry while reinforcing the exhibition’s mission of using fashion as a tool for cultural dialogue and peacebuilding.
