WAM! Goes To Paris

  • Palais Garnier Place de l'Opéra Paris, IDF, 75009 France (map)

The WAM! Wearable Art Museum presents Lisa M. Berman’s curated selection of wearable artworks featured in the Max Alexander debut runway presentation at the iconic Palais Garnier on March 3, 2026.

Led by Founder and Executive Director Lisa M. Berman, WAM’s museum-driven curation reframes the runway as a cultural stage, positioning fashion not as trend or commodity, but as wearable art. This marks a rare moment in which a museum director curates the final, fully accessorized runway collections at one of the world’s most revered cultural landmarks, bringing curatorial context, sustainability, and storytelling to an international audience.

Featured artists: Belle Brooke, Claudia Endler, Eleonora Federici, Lorena Jarpa, Mariana Gorga, Patricia Madeja, Robert Lee Morris, Roman Matous, Teri Brudnak, and LMB Personal Collection.

The presentations feature debut collections by California designer Max Alexander reflecting a commitment to ethical production, craftsmanship, and resilience. Alexander, the Guinness World Record holder for Youngest Runway Fashion Designer, returns to the runway with designs already recognized by WAM’s permanent collection.

Through museum-led styling, bespoke artist-made accessories, and global media reach supported by Moda Productions, WAM’s Paris presentations affirm fashion’s role as a cultural force capable of shaping dialogue around sustainability, identity, and creative expression.

This moment underscores WAM’s mission: to preserve, present, and elevate fashion as art on the world’s most influential stages.

Mariana Gorga – Infinita Misericordia (2024) Necklace

Sterling silver and Baroque pearl
21 cm (h) × 16 cm (w) × 3 cm (d)

Description
“Infinita Misericordia” (“Infinite Mercy”) is a sculptural necklace by Mariana Gorga that embodies the emotional drama and spiritual symbolism of the Baroque. Inspired by the theme Infinite Baroque and the angelic figures in Caravaggio’s The Seven Acts of Mercy (1606–07), the piece evokes human vulnerability alongside a hopeful belief in a celestial universe, transforming the jewel into a symbol of protection and spirituality.

The necklace originated from a hand-carved wax core, later cast in metal and finished with a luminous Baroque pearl. Every detail is meticulously sculpted, with the reverse of the wing rendered as masterfully as the front, reflecting exceptional craftsmanship from all angles.

Recognition
This work earned the Excellence of Craftsmanship Award – Third Prize from Alessio Bosch during Roma Jewelry Week, curated by Monica Cecchini and promoted by Incinque Jewels. The event was held at the prestigious Markets of Trajan – Museum of the Imperial Fora in Rome.

Philanthropic Contribution
50% of the selling price is allocated as a fully tax-deductible donation to the non-profit museum, supporting the costs of jewelry presentations in two runway shows: one by Max Alexander and another by Niki Khojandi at the Palais Garnier on March 3, 2026.
